This is helpful for the general public, too. Any chance some of this content will be shared on UW's public-facing COVID site?

My question is about hope - Would you consider it healthy to hope that we'll be back to in-person classes, etc. sooner than later, even if unlikely - or is facing the grim and more likely actual scenario better? What about spreading that hope to others?

Thanks so much for doing this session and pointing to resources. As a CNA at Harborview many years ago, me and a nurse friend tried so hard to get these types of resources in place (peer support programs, help for spouses of healthcare workers, access to spiritual care and psych specialists)--just for everyday burnout, moral distress, etc. on a "normal" day. Whatever finally led to getting these resources in place for frontline folks--THANK YOU. I hope they stay in place, even after all this COVID dust settles.

Regarding hope - I take strength from the Stockdale paradox (Stockdale was a POW) - confront the grim reality of your situation and at the same time, have hope that there will be a good resolution

Do the “worry-ers” differ from those who like to prepare themselves, or is this a ruse that makes me feel worrying is justified?

Any sense of how long the help from psychogy/psychiatry will be available (in a crisis I tend to rise to the occasion until it passes and then fall apart when everyone else is hunky dory)...can we tap that resource once we're on to our new normal? Thank you for doing this, I am grateful.

The day-to-day small interactions with coworkers is missing these days! It doesn't feel natural to email them just to say hi, though. Do you have any thoughts on how to maintain that "collegiate" feeling when everyone is physically apart?

in addition to acknowledging distress, any other tips for acknowledging and more accurately identifying the uncertain and/or certain elements of the current situation—while trying not to move too far down the spectrum of becoming a ‘worrier’
